Aluminum Coil

Aluminum coil is a continuous, flat-rolled product manufactured by feeding aluminum slabs through a series of rolling mills to achieve precise thicknesses before being wound into compact coils. Combining the inherent advantages of aluminum—lightweight, corrosion resistance, and high conductivity—with the efficiency of coil format, it serves as the essential raw material for countless industries. From beverage cans and automotive parts to architectural cladding and electronics, aluminum coil delivers consistent quality, excellent formability, and sustainable performance across diverse applications.

Alloy Series & Common Grades:
1xxx Series (Pure Aluminum): 1050, 1060, 1100 (excellent corrosion resistance, high formability, electrical conductivity).
3xxx Series (Manganese Alloyed): 3003, 3005, 3105 (general purpose, moderate strength, excellent workability).

    Product Overview

Aluminum coil, also known as rolled aluminum coil, is a metal product manufactured from aluminum ingots through casting, rolling, and calendering processes, followed by flying shear and stretch-bending treatment . It is a continuous strip of aluminum wound into a coil form, enabling efficient storage, transportation, and subsequent processing .

Our aluminum coils are produced from premium aluminum ingots with precisely controlled alloy compositions, delivering consistent mechanical properties and surface quality across all batches. With thickness typically ranging from 0.2mm to 10mm and widths up to 2500mm, our coils serve as the ideal raw material for industries including construction, electronics, packaging, machinery, and transportation .

Whether you require commercial pure aluminum for decorative applications, high-strength marine-grade alloys for shipbuilding, or specialized tempers for precision forming, our product range provides the optimal solution for your specific requirements.

Aluminum-copper Alloys. 2000 series is characterized by high hardness, in which the content of copper is the highest, about 3-5%.

    3000 Series

    3A21, 3003, 3103, 3004, 3005, 3105

Aluminum-manganese Alloys. 3000 series aluminum sheet is mainly composed of manganese. The manganese content ranges from 1.0% to 1.5%. It is a series with a better rust-proof function.

    4000 Series

    4A03, 4A11, 4A13, 4A17, 4004, 4032, 4043, 4043A, 4047, 4047A

Al-Si Alloys. Usually, the silicon content is between 4.5 and 6.0%. It belongs to building materials, mechanical parts, forging materials, welding materials, low melting points, and good corrosion resistance.

    5000 Series

    5052, 5083, 5754, 5005, 5086,5182

Al-Mg Alloys. 5000 series aluminum alloy belongs to the more commonly used alloy aluminum series, the main element is magnesium, and the magnesium content is between 3-5%. The main characteristics are low density, high tensile strength, and high elongation.

    6000 Series

    6063, 6061, 6060, 6351, 6070, 6181, 6082, 6A02

Aluminum Magnesium Silicon Alloys. The representative 6061 mainly contains magnesium and silicon, so it concentrates on the advantages of the 4000 series and 5000 Series. 6061 is a cold-treated aluminum forging product, which is suitable for applications requiring high corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance.

    7000 Series

    7075, 7A04, 7A09, 7A52, 7A05

    FAQ

Q: What's the difference between aluminum coils and aluminum sheets?

A: Aluminum coils are continuous rolls, suitable for mass production and automated manufacturing; aluminum sheets are cut to length. Both are made of the same material, just with different shapes to suit different processing needs.

Q: How do I choose the right alloy for my application?

A: Basic principles: Choose the 1xxx series for high formability and conductivity; choose the 3xxx series for medium strength and resistance to moisture; choose the 5xxx series for marine environments and high strength requirements; choose the 6xxx series for heat-treatable strengthening and good machinability.

Q: Can you provide non-standard sized aluminum coils?

A: Yes. We accept custom orders, including non-standard widths, thicknesses, inner diameters, and coil weights. Specific details require discussion of the minimum order quantity.

Q: What is the tempered state, and how do I choose it?

A: The tempered state indicates the material's processing method and mechanical properties. O represents the annealed state (softest), H represents the work-hardened state (H14 semi-hard, H18 fully hard), and T represents the heat-treated state (T6 highest strength). The choice depends on your forming requirements and the strength needs of your final application.
